What are Tocotrienols?
Vitamin E is one of the most important phytonutrients in edible oils. It consists of eight naturally occuring isomers, a family of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) homologues. Scientists are finding that Mother Nature knows best, because the combination found in nature is superior to chemically isolated single vitamin E fractionsfound in most multivitamins.
Why Should You Take a Tocotrienol Supplement?
Scientists discovered that the health benefits of tocotrienols are vitally important, and if you take too much of the form (tocopherols) found in most vitamins, you may interfere with the body's ability to absorb the other important fractions.
The Delta-E Advantage
MDR Delta-E is pure Annatto based tocotrienol, which is tocopherol-free. Delta-E provides 90% delta-tocotrienols and 10% gamma tocotrienols, with a total of 125mg of tocotrienols.
Can you get tocotrienols from foods?
Since tocotrienols only occur at very low levels in nature, with the highest concentration found in palm oil and annatto beans, it is virtually impossible to attain the amount of tocotrienols that show beneficial effects from the normal diet alone. For example, one would need to consume a cup of palm oil (cooking oil) a day to get the level required for effectiveness as described in most studies. In addition, the oils are very sensitive to heat and must be gently processed to preserve their integrity.
Benefits of Tocotrienol Supplementation (Tocopherol-Free):
- Cardiovascular System
- Immune System
- GI Tract
Tocotrienol is a more effective antioxidant than tocopherol because its unsaturated side chain structure facilitates better penetration into saturated fatty layersof the brain and liver.
MDR Fitness Tabs gives you 100 IU of natural Vitamin E from mixed tocotrienols. Just add one tiny capsule of Delta E to your daily multi-vitamin supplementation, or take a capsule a few times a week to reap the many benefits of Delta Tocotrienols.
