Is vaping causing lung problems?

Jun 2nd 2018 Posted by MDR

The smoking of E-cigarettes has taken off in recent years. Many have used it as a way to ease off their tobacco cigarette smoking and even the CDC (Center for Disease Control) has said it's less harmful than tobacco cigarettes.

But is it safe? Recent studies suggest that it is not. The studies showed lung inflammation, tissue damage, DNA damage, and oxidative stress associated with lung disease such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

COPD is a serious disease and research has shown that tobacco smoking is the leading cause of it. Vaping is still too recent to definitively link it to COPD, but early studies are strong enough to cause the Lung Institute to recommend that no one should be vaping.
